Ludwigshafen

Rheinkilometer 423

Rheinufer Süd is regarded as one of the most beautiful residential areas of Ludwigshafen and has already established itself accordingly. Here, high-quality city apartments are being built a stone’s throw away from the city centre and in an attractive location on the south bank of the river Rhine, opposite Mannheim Palace.

In conjunction with architectural firms Giesler Architekten and Nebel Pössl Architekten, we managed to win the Germany-wide investor competition for two of four sites, thus gaining a foothold on the market in Ludwigshafen. The sites extend from the new Max-Pechstein-Strasse in the north to the Rhine promenade at Luitpoldhafen in the south – and form an expansive park area in combination with the neighbouring sites.

In order to achieve the high standards set by the local authority and the closely associated seller of the site in terms of superstructural implementation, the submitted concept focused on the contrasting architecture of the two construction phases. Both phases, however, represent contemporary interpretations of classic urban residential architecture, with all floor plans developed in a south-facing position with a view of the water to appeal to the desired target group.
